This modern 2020 built farmhouse in Duncan, BC, designed and built by the team at Pacific Homes, is a perfect blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal. This is the second collaboration with Pacific Homes for the owners, and it exudes a blend of simplicity and contemporary style. The 1257-square-foot main home, accompanied by a 606-square-foot suite, boasts a bright interior that feels spacious and airy thanks to abundant natural light. As you step into the front entry, you are welcomed into a seamless flow of the living room, dining area, and kitchen—an ideal setup for entertaining guests. A spacious master suite on the main floor and a rear spare bedroom completes the main level perfectly. Inside, the homeowners have embraced a beachy, airy vibe with tasteful use of navy-blue accents, adding to the home’s inviting atmosphere. The generous one-bedroom suite off the verandah is the ultimate in privacy and comes completely self-contained. Outside, the farmhouse facade draws inspiration from the original farm store on their previous property but has been updated with modern simplicity. Clean white siding against dark roofing creates a striking contrast, complemented by a generous front deck that invites guests to enjoy the Vancouver Island sunshine. The landscaping surrounding the rancher adds a burst of color against the white siding, enhancing the home’s visual appeal and creating a picturesque setting. A separate little workshop is well used. The greenhouse is prolific with greenery. Raised garden beds have many crops. 4 Zone Irrigation st system and EV Charger, backup generator included. Located in a well-established neighborhood, this property offers convenience with shopping, parks, and the Cowichan River trail system just a short walk away. The owners have transformed this space into a warm and welcoming haven complete with a mini golf game! This property is legal for AirBNB suite.

About

With a background in commercial sales and specializing in project sales and marketing, Tony has an extensive history in the Victoria real estate market. He is also a well-known leader in the real estate community and is often featured in presentations or asked for his insights on condo-related media stories. Tony is a perennial MLS Gold Award winner and has also won the prestigious MLS Special Gold Award. From 2011-2015, Tony was the number one Realtor for number of strata sales.

Tony is a former member of Canada’s National Cycling Team and was awarded the Fair Play Award in 2002. He is also an avid runner, road and mountain cyclist, crossfit athlete, and triathlon competitor. Sport has played a massive role in Tony’s life, teaching him a strong work ethic, how to be a team player, and how to lead. Together with his wife, Erinne, who is a 2008 cycling Olympian, he wants to help ensure as many kids get a chance to play organized sports as he can. They have started an initiative called Guardian Athlete (www.guardianathlete.ca) to help kids from less fortunate backgrounds get into sports. He helps other organizations in the Victoria community, too, including Our Place Society, The Mustard Seed, Power to Be, and “Journey,” an initiative to build homes in third-world countries.

At the core of it, though, Tony is a family man. He is the proud dad to Xavier and Catalina, and, fun fact; he owns a modest mango farm in the Philippines with his sister.
